now i'd made up my mind to embark on this 30-50 minutes journey to okoafo bustop from ilogbo bustop starting at around 10-11pm

to begin the journey, i'd just bought some suys (suya lol) for the fun of it, i mean since i'm outside, why not!

alright, i'm walking now, just chilling and enjoying the cool of the evening!

and of course, i see people walking back towards ilogbo while i work outwards

these are mostly business owners and employees from outside this vicinity, and more where on their way!

the major issue here is that there are no bikes in this area on this particular day, why?
two reasons, one being the curfew nobody asked for... the second reason is what we are about to find out

now i'm about 10-15% into the total distance of the journey... and close to bedrock hotel, just down from the hill close to the winners' church precisely, i spotted the policemen and their mini van

what's the big deal, i asked, i'm not a bike man... bike men are people i know these guys witchhunt around this time

cuz of this, i sometime pay as high as 1.5-2k at night for a journey that costs 4h-5h during the day!

i kept walking... while they left their spot which i believe was like a change of location after camping at the small bridge connecting the hill to the rest the bedrock hotel road with no bike men in sight

you know, if you dont have customers on location a, it's great to change to location b, there might be some big fish waiting for you... who knows!

never keep trying 🀣

well, i kept walking

gif

they've left and just across the bridge, i met a security man outside with two local dogs unleashed... these are local dogs so not much threat here

just observed and kept walking

and just after that, i heard a not-so-clear voice in one of the shops before the school on the left of the road (dont remember what the school name is) it sounded like an aboki... i'm like 85% sure about this!

well, as usual, i kept walking

it's all quiet going forward, the malls and shops are all closed but in all i was still optimistic about getting a bike to the bustop even though i'd decided to walk!

gif

now i'm at foundation, a major bustop along the okoafo road which is like half way or about 60% into the journey

this is exactly where the police pulled up!

gif

officer whatsoever-the-fuck-his-name-is stepped down and was like:

  • where are you going to

  • where are you coming from

  • what are you carrying (i wasnt carrying anything, just my phone and some cash, i think 4k in cash! which was majorly my tfare)

  • what do you do for a living (how do i explain to this bunch of policemen that i work fully remote without them mistaking me for a yahoo boy)

  • where's your id (wtf... i never imagined i'd be asked "where's your id" in my area)

  • what time did you leave home (miscalculated and said 9pm instead of past 10pm... big mistake on my end cuz time is now past 11pm... the officer at the front seat used this against me!)

gif

"i give up! i dont want to trek anymore... just put me in the bloody bus"

btw, i was looking forward to what the average police station looks like... heard many different story!

then office man-at-the-front-seat said something like "you're lying, you are not coming from your parent house" or something like that...

"enter motor"

gif

on the good side of things, i stop trekking... and be put out of my misery!

on the other side of things, i'm going to the police station which like i said was something i was looking up to

win-win

pumped up for this adventure cuz it really was an adventure, ngl!

now i'm in the mini-bus, sat at the back with this light-skinned bitch

cuz of ladies like this, i'd say feminism is never going to happen!

well, you feminists still have a long way to go... long way!

aside this light-skinned bitch of an asshole, the other officers are a chill and are all men!

let that sink in!

women in power are just some unnecessary beast and i'd never seen any progress made with their leadership... this is me talking from experience as someone who has both being under men and women leadership

a woman in leadership performs best when there is a man(or bunch of men) behind her and her decisions, else she's just a nagging, sadist disguised as a leader that both her fellow gender and the opposite gender do not find interesting to be around!

and if you think i'm against women, jokes on you cuz i'm what i am today thanks to mentorship from women like alex cattoni and lara acosta!

alex cattoni is happily married, and lara acosta has some serious partnerships going on with top male performers in her industry...

just to mention a few... not to talk about marianne, founder of kweey . io... (NDA)...

or Dani Verdari!

a lot! even close friends too

these are people aspiring feminists should look up to!

DISCLAIMER: i'm not a feminist! i believe women and men each deserve what's best for them!

gif

i know i make lots of dark humor jokes about women but the truth is i enjoy being around them (a sign i'm not gay, yes i'm homophobic)...

i dont stay around the nagging ones though, cuz i dont like people that nag

i mean, generally, both men and women nag but it's more common among women

we are humans, we have solutions to every and any problem so why nag when you can just solve the problem?

gif

roughly 5 minutes after i got picked up by the police, we came across two guys walking on the pedestrian way

the minibus stopped and they immediately ran 🀣 something i found funny cuz why are you running? was i supposed to run too? i cant run now, these guys are with my phone! no point in running, it's going to ruin this adventure for me! didnt even cross my mind to run...

well, the officers chased them and successfully caught one!

his name is alex... i swear i was laughing through all the drama between when he got caught and when we started moving

bro was like, "my papa na police like una" (which is not true)...

"my mama dey front, na she i dey go meet" (which is also not entirely true)

bro just chill and enjoy this moment, dont ruin it for me!

to debunk alex's claims... the man whom he said was his father and police officer was in fact the husband of the woman he called his mother

the woman he said he was going to meet at the front was the wife of the police officer... he his family friends with them and according to alex, their son is mentally sick and had left home since morning so he was on his way to find him for his parents

then bro got picked up by the police! 🀣

gif

the whole journey on the road bro was just saying "i for no help this woman o"

i felt bad for bro but nobody says helping others is easy! atleast from my experience, it's never easy!

now we are three at the back of the minivan with the light-skinned bitch

me, an aboki i met in the van, and alex!

after alex got picked close to bokku mart, we got on the badagry expressway and headed towards badagry for more pick

i'm sat for this! πŸŽ‰

gif

first stop was just after ilepo at a bar...

spent about 5-12 minutes there, nobody was caught

at the end, they got an insider

we left and journeyed for like 20 minutes more

got into another random street... first stop in this street was where this aboki sells noodles

two random guys there too and they got searched, nothing on them so we left

i'm part of the cops now so it's a "we" thing now lol

moved further down the street and they spotted a guy on lady's bike

the young officer among them turned on torch and he ran

the other officers were mad cuz they just lost a fish 🀣

well, that was it for that street until we were almost back on the badagry expressway

they spotted a random car on its way out too and then turned off their lights, waited for their prey and struck

while on that, an old man on his bike was coming into the street, same thing, they bounced on him, man had to reverse and run for his dear life

i swear this thing was funny, even the officers laughed! 🀣

gif

for the car guy coming, they sorted things out with him after going back and forth for nearly 30 minutes

now i'm feeling sleepy already and was ready for bed, in cell! πŸ˜†

and that was it for the night, then we spent the next half an hour on the road back to morogbo police station!

in the next part, i will talk about my experience in the cell!
